After much thought and consideration, I have decided that it is time to move Handcraft Workshop in an entirely new direction. As part of this change, it is with some sadness that I announce that I will be closing my Germantown Avenue location on December 31, 2019.
Why am I making this change? It’s time. While running Handcraft Workshop in its current form has been incredibly rewarding, it also has been very challenging. After six years of working constantly to grow the business, I am ready to have more flexibility in my life and to take on new and different challenges.
So, what’s next? I am going to keep sewing and continue teaching people how to sew. The change is that I will be doing this at my home sewing studio and through various schools and art studios in the region. I am really excited about the future and the new opportunities that await.
Since I started Handcraft Workshop in 2013, I have had the privilege of being able to share my love of sewing with so many people. We formed a wonderful, supportive community and I am thankful for the many wonderful people and friends that I have met.
Thank you for being great customers and sewing at Handcraft Workshop. Keep sewing and I’ll see you soon!
Since I am unable to fit all of the sewing machines, furniture, and equipment into my home studio, several of these items will be available for sale through our website starting on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 10:00am.
