Sewing Skills Series- all five classes

May 9 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm


Learn the fundamental skills of garment making in these classes.

Skills class #1 – Hem finishes. We will focus on five different hem finishes.
Tuesday, May 9, 7:00pm – 8:30pm

Skills class #2 – Seam finishes. We will focus on six different seam finishes.
Tuesday, May 16, 7:00pm – 8:30pm

Skill Class #3 – Zippers. We will focus on inserting a regular and invisible zipper.
Requires two zippers, one regular, one invisible
Tuesday, May 23, 7:00pm – 8:30pm

Skills class #4 – Buttons & buttonholes. We will focus on how to use a buttonhole foot.
Tuesday, May 30, 7:00pm – 8:30pm

Skill Class #5 – FBA/SBA Full Bust Adjustment & Small Bust Adjustment
We will focus on how to make bust dart adjustments to patterns.
Tuesday, June 6, 7:00pm – 8:30pm

Handcraft Workshop offers a wide variety of kid and adult sewing classes.  From the very beginner to the very advanced, there’s a class for everybody!If you’re a beginner or haven’t sewn awhile in need a refresher, Sewing 101 is the perfect class for you.  From there, you’ll find project based classes of varying skill levels, skill classes that focus on particular techniques, serger classes, and more.  Experienced sewist can start with a project class that interests them and matches their skill level.

Skill Level Recommendations

Newbie: No experience necessary
Beginner: Taken Sewing 101 or equivalent
Intermediate: Ready for some serious sewing
Advanced: Could teach a class or two!

Kids classes are intended for students aged 8-15.  Adult classes are intended for students aged 16+.
