2017 NYC Garment District Shopping Trip

Come join us on a delightful excursion to the famed Garment District in New York City.  If you love to sew and create, there is no better place on earth to visit.  You’ll find shops selling exquisite designer fabrics, bargain bolts, trims, buttons and buckles, all kinds of dressmaking and quilting supplies, and much, much more!After arriving in NYC on our chartered bus, you can stay with the group and follow our itinerary for the day or explore and shop on your own.  Just don’t get so enthralled by all the fabric that you miss the bus back home!

The trip concludes with a stop in Little Italy/Chinatown for dinner (or more shopping!).

Tickets can only be purchased online. We will not be accepting payments in-person or over the phone.

Handcraft Workshop offers a wide variety of kid and adult sewing classes.  From the very beginner to the very advanced, there’s a class for everybody!If you’re a beginner or haven’t sewn awhile in need a refresher, Sewing 101 is the perfect class for you.  From there, you’ll find project based classes of varying skill levels, skill classes that focus on particular techniques, serger classes, and more.  Experienced sewist can start with a project class that interests them and matches their skill level.

Skill Level Recommendations

Newbie: No experience necessary
Beginner: Taken Sewing 101 or equivalent
Intermediate: Ready for some serious sewing
Advanced: Could teach a class or two!

Kids classes are intended for students aged 8-15.  Adult classes are intended for students aged 16+.
