bop-sewing2014-sqHandcraft Workshop offers a wide variety of kid and adult sewing classes.  From the very beginner to the very advanced, there's a class for everybody!  If you're a beginner or haven't sewn awhile in need a refresher, Sewing 101 is the perfect class for you.  From there, you'll find project based classes of varying skill levels, skill classes that focus on particular techniques, serger classes, and more.  Experienced sewist can start with a project class that interests them and matches their skill level.

Skill Level Recommendations

Newbie: No experience necessary  |  Beginner: Taken Sewing 101 or equivalent
Intermediate: Ready for some serious sewing  | Advanced: Could teach a class or two!
(Kids classes are intended for students aged 8-15.  Adult classes are intended for students aged 16+.)

Freestyle Friday: BIG Beach Tote

May 19 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Make yourself a BIG tote that is beach ready! Materials: 3/4 yard of cotton for exterior, 3/4 yard of cotton for interior, 1/2 yard canvas, vinyl, or faux leather, and 2.5 cotton webbing for straps and coordinating thread. Prerequisites: Sewing 101 or equivalent experience. Skill Level: Beginner Sessions: This class meets on Friday, May 19, 6:30pm - 9:00pm.

Freestyle Friday: Knit Wrap Skirt

June 16 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Comfortable and easy, that sounds like the perfect summer skirt! Materials: 2.5 knit fabric, and coordinating thread. Prerequisites: Sewing 101 or equivalent experience. Skill Level: Beginner Sessions: This class meets on Friday, June 16, 6:30pm - 9:00pm.
